National under 12's doubles victory for Seacourt
Huw Thomas and George Charlton beat Max
Jones and William Flynn to win the national
under 12’s doubles title. (6.4).
Seacourt juniors performed outstandingly in the national under 12’s doubles at Holyport. Elliot Cotton raised his game to new heights and reached the semi final with his partner Hannah Parry, but were knocked out by Huw Thomas and George Charlton in a close match. Max Jones and William Flynn won their group to reach the semi final where they took on Alfie Backhouse and Jack Sykes. Max and William played the perfect game to win 6.3 to set up an all Seacourt final.
George and Huw were the favourites, but they were forced to raise their game to deal with Max and William who took every game to deuce but George and Huw won through eventually 6.4 in an epic encounter.
Many thanks to Paul Weaver for running the competition, Tory Wall for the brilliant bacon sandwiches and Lily-Mae Jones for baking the stunning array of cakes.

Men's squash team triumph
Seacourt Men’s Squash team last night defeated Abshot in a very tense semi-final of the Hampshire Cup.
In a tightly fought semi, Aaron Flippance kept the team off the edge of their seats in an epic 5 game match which went down to the wire. His “marines” training held compensated for wayward drop shot which time after time let his rabid opponent back into the point. Andy Craig forced his opponent into submission and between Andrew Jameson, Nick Atkin and Brian Purdy we were able to secure the third victory needed to win the match and reach the final of the Hampshire cup.
Well played Seacourt

Lawn Tennis Club Night
Every third Wednesday in the month we will be running lawn tennis club night.
Last night was the first appearance of the revamped club night, with coaching and match play over two hours from Seacourt’s tennis pro, James Green.
The new format was incredibly popular and Ken Hearn was quoted as saying " Best club night I have ever been too"
Next club night is set for 17th April 6-8pm. Please sign up on the lawn tennis notice board as there are only 12 spaces available.
