For the last two weeks the real tennis members have been battling it out to win the prestigious Emsworth competition. The competition is level but split into 4 handicap categories.

Andrew Jameson took on Simon Willis in the Emsworth Salver (20-29 handicap). Andrew is the man to beat having won the title for the last two years and the number one seed!

Andrew started the game aggressively and counter punched all Simon’s attacking moves to secure the first set 6/4. Simon’s persistent pressure paid off in the second set and Simon levelled the match with a 6/5 set. The final set was an epic with both players at their very best but it was Andrews day as he served out the match to win the vital set 6/3.

Lawn tennis flood lights

Posted by Seacourt Tennis Club at Feb 28, 2013 2:53AM PST

We are aware that there is a lawn tennis light out.

A new bulb has been ordered and the scaffolding will go up next week to replace the bulb.

During the summer of 2013 we will be refurbishing all the lawn tennis flood lights and the surrounding boxes.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Regards

Dan
