Top Real Tennis players descend on Seacourt for tournament
During the first week of February Seacourt held its Annual Real Tennis Silver Racquet Tournament.
Twenty-eight players including World Champion Rob Fahey, World number 5 Bryn Sayers, World number 7 Chris Chapman and defending Silver Racquet Champion Lewis Williams played across four days for the coveted trophy.
Local amateur Conor Medlow won through to the first semi-final, his eyes on a third title win which has not been achieved by anyone before.
However, Seacourt Pro Marc Seigneur had different plans, defeating Conor 6/4, 6/3. In the second semi-final, Petworth Pro Tom Durak lost to an improving Horatio Cary 6/5, 1/6, 1/6.
The final was watched from a packed Dedans and Bar, with a further 100+ viewers around the world watching the livestream via the Seacourt YouTube Channel. Marc and Horatio traded games in the first set, with Horatio securing it 6/5. In the second set Horatio increased the pressure, trying to shut Marc out of the game, forcing multiple errors and winning the Silver Racquet 2016 title, 6/5, 6/2.
Seacourt would like to thank Neptune Investment Management and the numerous local sponsors for their support.
We look forward to hosting the Ladies British Open from the 6th – 10th April and the Over 40s British Open from the 6th -8th May.

Squash News
It is a great relief to report that our regular number one, Aaron Flippence, has dragged himself out of his January slump to record 3 fine victories on the bounce against Totton, Trojans and the Avenue.
The team has fared a little less well with 1 win and 2 losses in the same period but has continued to pick up good points (30 out of a possible 60) to lie mid-table with 4 matches to go. On current form we look set to remain in our division but sport can be cruel and a couple of wins are probably needed to be 100% secure.
