200 Club Launch Event
Over 30 juniors aged between 3 and 14, 2 sports professionals, 7 volunteers, catering staff, bar staff and many parents and members took part in and thoroughly enjoyed the first junior sports event and 200 club draw.
The juniors took part in sessions across all the sports and it was a real joy to watch the faces of the little ones and the skills of the older.
Everyone had a really lovely time and it was a joy to see the club so full on a Saturday night.
The mandatory speeches took place with Pete Wilson taking the lead filling everyone in on the 200 club numbers and plans. Gary Medlow followed and expressed a HUGE thank you to Pete for the effort he had put into getting the old 100 club back on its feet. Gary also awarded the first ever 200 Club Junior Award to Huw Thomas for his tremendous run in real tennis.
Last but not least Linda Medlow tried her best to explain to members where the money from the fund would be spent.
It was then down to Mr Wilson to make the first draw and the winners were:
1st place £100 – Sam Newsom
2nd place £75 – Jessica Medlow
3rd place £50 – Lucy Butler

A tasty supper of chicken stew and dumplings for £5 went down very well with all.
We plan to hold another event using a similar format on Sat 27th February so please put this date in your diaries. We would be grateful for any feedback and ideas, this is your club and we want to ensure we are encouraging as many as we can to use it and bring along their friends. New members are very welcome.
