Seacourt – Squash update
Our squash team had an exceptional win on Thursday to leapfrog from a perilous position of being one from bottom to the upper half of the league table. This win was exceptionally welcome (and unexpected) as it was against the league leaders. Greg Wells and Adam Jones got off us to a flyer with 3-0 wins only for the usually reliable Andrew Jameson and Aaron Flippence to be beaten by players from very differing ends of the age range. Nick Atkins then produced a masterclass in court guile to complete a very welcome victory.
We now have a run of matches against supposedly weaker opposition where we hope to cement our league position and for Aaron to regain a bit of a confidence having lost consecutively to a mum of 3 and a lad who has yet to embark on his GCSEs……(they were both very good).
Hopefully you will have seen plans to re-introduce a Squash ladder so please put your names forward to Mark Seigneur if you would like to be part of it.
