Jerry Way played Aaron Flipence for the third place play off. Both players narrowly missed out reaching the final and were both on form today to win this encounter. Jerry still furious with himself for not closing out the match against Bruce Gordon started the match ina aggressive manor which caught Aaron out and despite his best attempts and valiant effort to get back into the game Jerry fended him off some exceptional tactics and shot play to win the match 6/1 6/4

Real Tennis Insurance

Real Tennis Insurance

Real Tennis members at Seacourt often ask why they should bother to join the T&R.A. My usual reply is to list some of the important work done by the Association such as owning and running the whole RTO handicap system, training and subsidising all new RT professionals and dear to my heart, sponsoring all the national junior tournaments etc. etc.

However, did you also know that along with membership of the T&R.A comes free Real Tennis Public Liability Insurance covering you against any injuries that you might inflict on others whilst playing the game on any court anywhere in the world? In a recent PLI case a golfer sliced his tee shot and hit a fellow golfer standing on another tee some distance away. The resultant claim was finally settled at £640,000, which was split between the golfer and the club!……….so, yet another good reason to join the T&R.A.
